i went to a show at Belly Up Tavern tonight... the show was great, and i always like going there. the difference this time, though, was that i took my SLR with me instead of just my pocket camera. so i spent a good amount of time before (and during) the show playing with my camera. this shot is of part of the wall of poster art.

i LOVE yams. i got these at a small fruit/veggie stand on the side of the road while driving on highway 79 towards Julian, and they are the most orangest yams ever! i would've taken a picture of them after they were cooked too, but i was too busy eating them :)

you'd think that after 6 years of living in a city i would've gone to all the major monuments, but today was my first time going to see the lighthouse at the Cabrillo National Monument Park. it's small, but worth a look. and it totally put me in the mood for a trip to New England!!

i spent my afternoon with friends at a pub, watching a soccer game and then hanging around for more beer and food. at the end of the afternoon, i couldn't resist getting a picture of this barrel on the patio. i'm just a sucker for anything that looks old and beat up....

so i downloaded an application for my new phone. it's called "FxCamera" and it's super duper fun. my favorite setting is the "polaroid" setting, but this one is cool too, it's the "toy camera" setting :-)
