today as i was parking outside of a restaurant, i looked up through my windshield and saw this. it made me stop for a few seconds and realize how happy i am that i live in a city that has palm trees :-)

and thus begins my weekend indoors.... since i started feeling quite under the weather, my weekend plans have suddenly all been canceled. sadly, that also means i'm pretty confined for the daily pics too. soooooooo here's a shot of a ceramic sun that i got in mexico forever ago and have had resting on my patio ever since. i liked the way the sun was hitting it and the wall :-)

for a while i'd been wanting to try multiple exposure shots, so here it is! the location's not the most exciting, but i'm happy with how it turned out. it definitely flexed my photoshop muscles! :-)

i like purple. i like orange. i do not like beige/yellow checkered patterns, but i didn't have a choice about that. considering that it's office furniture, though, it's not so bad...

it started as a quick drive to watch the sunset and snap a few pics.... an hour later my feet were covered in sand, my jeans were soaked up to the knees, and i had a big smile on my face :-)

the "highlight" of my saturday was finding some water drops coming from the can light in my kitchen ceiling. turns out my upstairs neighbor had an overflowing toilet directly above the kitchen. great.

so last night i went to a concert.... had a few beers.... came home and felt like a midnight snack. so naturally i popped a pizza in the toaster oven! it was taking a bit longer than expected to cook, so i went to my room and sat down to watch tv for a few minutes while it finished. three hours later, i wake up and realize that the pizza is still in the toaster oven and i'm lucky the place hasn't caught on fire. i rush to turn off (and unplug) the oven before getting back to sleep.

today i got home from work and saw the burned pizza sitting on my counter. i expected to find a solid black disc, but was shocked to see that it wasn't all black! kinda made me think of a goth version of a pizza..... if you could find black tomatoes and black broccoli.
