5:30pm on February 28, 2010 in Joshua Tree, CA.

In today's visit to Joshua Tree, I made it a point to stay through the sunset. I'm really glad I did because I got a few great shots in those last 10 minutes or so. I especially liked this one :-)

2:00pm on February 27, 2010 at home.

Today it rained. and rained. and rained. and then it hailed. and then it rained some more.
When I looked outside at my drowning plants, I did see that they looked beautiful with the raindrops. After that I was pretty glad it rained today :-)

3:00pm on February 25, 2010 in Vista, CA.

What can I say? I was bored at work today. All I could think of was Thoreau's famous words: "the mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." boy did I feel that way today!
On the upside, I snapped this cool pic at my desk! Maybe next time I have a super slow day I'll do more notes...

April 01, 2007 in Los Angeles, CA.

I'm sure I mentioned already that I've been in a hibernating mood lately. Unfortunately,  I wasn't inspired by anything at home today for the daily pic. So I decided to take a walk down memory lane and fix up an old photo. This is from a loft in Downtown Los Angeles about 3 years ago. I loved that the building had retained its industrial details (like these awesome honeycomb-wired glass windows).

Things have been slow at work lately. These days I spend a large part of my day looking out the window and daydreaming.... I'm very thankful to sit next to a window so I can dream my day away! :-)

5:30pm on February 22, 2010 in Del Mar, CA.

I can't resist taking pictures on my way home sometimes, especially during this time of the year when I drive home during the gorgeous sunsets!
Still, taking memorable pics of the ocean/beach is one of the most difficult things I've ever tried to photograph. Go ahead, try it. It's not as easy as it sounds...

1:30pm on February 20, 2010 in La Jolla Shores, CA

It's beautiful outside today, and the fluffy clouds in the sky just make it the perfect day for some pics. I chose this picture because it almost looks like a painting... and I loved the pop of red from the woman's jacket :-)

8:00pm on February 19, 2010 at home.

I was at a loss for what to photograph today, and the fact that I've been slowly turning into a hermit isn't helping. Pretty soon I'll have documented every object in my apartment.
Object of the day: glossy canvas of the Matisse reproduction in my bedroom. I love that it has a canvas texture... good job Ikea :-)

Playtime on Photoshop! :-)
**note: the original image of the woman on the couch is not mine. it's an ad for furniture that i really like.
**note 2: the red color of the ad image is NOT faked. it's a black and white picture, but the photo came out in red and black. it was an accidental technique discovery. i love those :-)
**note 3: i could totally see this as an event poster!

It's nice to take a different way home every once in a while... it makes you see things in a new light again. This tower caught my eye against the beautiful sky.

~5:45pm on February 8, 2010 in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA.

Ok, I admit it. I flaked on snapping a new picture today. Can you forgive me??
However... in the constant attempt to get a good picture of the beach/horizon/ocean/sunset, I did a little editing on some pics I took about a week ago on my way home from work. I liked how this one turned out. I like how the warmth of the setting sun still translates even though it's a sepia toned image.
